Personal Current Account (discontinued)
Information for existing customers
Our Cheque Book Account and Personal Current Account products are no longer available for new customers. They have now been merged into one new account called a Personal Current Account.
As a Personal Current Account customer you can choose to keep your existing current account. However, since 1 April 2010, the charging structure on your account has changed. View the tariff of bank charges for personal customers.
Alternatively, you can choose to switch to our new Online Personal Current Account at no charge.

Free text updates
As a Personal Current Account customer you can stay in control of your finances, where and when it suits you, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with our free text alerts.
You can choose from:
- Weekly balance - receive your latest balance as well as details of your last few transactions every Monday morning
- Online statement available - we will let you know as soon as your online statement becomes available to view
To register for free text alerts simply call our Customer Service team on 0845 850 5555 between 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.30am to 12.30pm Saturdays. Calls may be recorded for monitoring and training.
If you are registered with Online Banking you can also register for free text alerts via the Account Services menu. Click here to log in.
